The Citizen Promise Program helps students by creating an environment for success, setting goals for engagement, and rewarding achievement. Students learn about the founding documents of American history and their relevance today. Citizen Promise unites partners in the community and school personnel to provide volunteer opportunities, mentor students and celebrate their achievements.
Recently, Citizen Promise held a poster contest for DHS Students. Congratulations to our winners, Alexia Byrd and Caleb Bogar. Our "CP" Citizen Action Checkpoint Winner is Cassandra West.
Additionally, Citizen Promise has provided students with three wonderful volunteer opportunities: Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity, Wiregrass Horse Rescue and Sanctuary, and the Dothan Education Foundation Core Store.
