We follow the principle of reinforcing positive behavior. We follow the Bucket Filler strategy. Each class has individual buckets that they fill with pompoms each time they are "caught" doing something positive. Once the classroom busket is full, it is dumped into our big school bucket in the auditorium. When our school bucket is filled, we have a school wide celebration. Once the positive behavior is observed and a pompom is given, it cannot be taken away. No negative consequences are used with our pompom system. Each time a class fills a bucket, it is announced over our intercom and the song "Happy" by Pharrell Williams is played.
